Hello! or is it Namaste?

Let's stick with "Hello"...

since that is what Namaste means for most Indians as well :)

According to a famous musician, "Sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination". I would like to add, that the destination becomes a way of living when our quest becomes a voyage of discovering and understanding one's divine purpose and intrinsic value. I'll be providing some of my thoughts and observations on what this intentional lifestyle looks like. If you would like to hear my ruminations on yoga and other topics, please follow me on social media or book a Real Talk session with me.

From the Mystical Far East to the Fascinating Northwest

My name is Jonathan Sikha; I go by Jon. I am an immigrant from India and I have been in the US since 2005.

I spent all my childhood and young adult life observing and practicing yoga under my father's guidance and teaching. My dad offered free yoga classes every day in the slum where we lived. Yoga's transformational benefits are universal. I have seen it in people's lives who live in utter poverty in India's slums and also in those who practice it here in the West. I have had many jobs ranging from working with people experiencing homelessness, to inmates, Microsoft, Apple and to being a pastor. In all of these occupations, I have strived for purpose, meaning, and finding ways to help others discover contentment and joy. I was in a very serious motorcycle accident in 2016, and after much physical therapy, surgeries and exercise, I have developed a deeper regard for this discipline. I want to share this with folks who can benefit from these exercises, breathing, and strengthening routines. Re>Formed Yoga combines the wealth of wisdom and experience I derived from my South Indian upbringing with the modern day-to-day experience I continue to gain while living here in the U.S.

I am a follower of Jesus and His teachings, a husband, and father of three wonderful children.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to know more about me or Re>Formed Yoga.

See you in the Studio!
